Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how you can cancel an online order with Shining Stone ("we", "us"), and when we may cancel one.

1. Cancelling before dispatch

You may cancel your order free of charge at any time before it is dispatched. Email support@shiningstone.net with your order number as soon as possible. We will confirm the cancellation in writing.

2. Cancelling after dispatch

Once an order has been dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled. You may still request a return within 7 days of delivery, subject to our Return & Exchange Policy and Refund Policy.

3. Custom, engraved and altered items

Custom-made, engraved, resized and altered items can be cancelled only before work on them begins. Once work has started, they are final sale for change-of-mind purposes, but genuine defects are still handled in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

4. Refund on cancellation

If you cancel an eligible order that has already been paid for, we will refund the full amount to the original payment method (card, Google Pay or Apple Pay) within 7 business days of confirming the cancellation, or within any period required by law. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to show the refund.

5. Cancellation by Shining Stone

We may cancel an order if:

  • an item is out of stock or no longer available;
  • there is an error in the price or product description;
  • we cannot verify your payment or details, or suspect fraud; or
  • we are unable to deliver to your address.

We will notify you by email and refund any payment in full to your original payment method.

6. Duplicate or accidental orders

If you placed an order by mistake or twice, contact us immediately. We will cancel the duplicate before dispatch and refund it.

7. Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
