Welcome to Shining Stone. These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of our website and your purchases from Shining Stone ("we", "us"). By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. About us

2. Use of the website

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to misuse it, attempt unauthorised access, copy or scrape its content, or interfere with its operation. You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.

3. Products and descriptions

We take care to display our jewellery accurately. Colours may vary slightly because of screen settings and photography. Measurements are approximate. We may correct errors in descriptions, pricing or availability.

4. Pricing and currency

All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise. Delivery fees vary and are shown at checkout before you confirm your order. Prices may change without notice, but the price confirmed at checkout will not change for that order.

5. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept your order when we send you an order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order, for example due to stock errors, pricing mistakes, suspected fraud or failed payment verification, and will refund you in full if payment was taken.

6. Payment

We accept card payments, Google Pay and Apple Pay. We do not accept bank transfers or cash on delivery. Payments are processed by our secure payment provider, and we do not store your full card details. By paying, you confirm that you are authorised to use the chosen payment method. Orders are processed once payment has been successfully received.

7. Delivery, returns, refunds and cancellations

These are governed by our Delivery Policy, Return & Exchange Policy, Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy, which form part of these terms.

8. Jewellery care

Our jewellery is fashion jewellery and needs gentle care. Please follow our Jewellery Care Policy. Tarnishing, fading, scratching, broken chains, missing stones or other damage caused by moisture, chemicals, incorrect storage, accidental damage or normal wear and tear are not manufacturing faults.

9. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including logos, designs, images, text and product photography, belongs to Shining Stone or its licensors and may not be copied or used without our written permission.

10. Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between these terms and our Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy controls how your personal information is collected, processed and disclosed.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shining Stone is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this website or our products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

12. Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, courier or banking disruptions, government action or internet outages.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this website when you place your order applies to that order.
