Shining Stone jewellery is designed to be enjoyed and treasured. As fashion jewellery requires gentle care, please follow these instructions to help preserve the appearance of your pieces.
Keep Away From Moisture
Avoid contact with water, steam and excessive moisture. Remove your jewellery before showering, bathing, swimming, exercising or sleeping.
Avoid Chemicals
Perfume, hairspray, lotions, sanitiser, cosmetics and household cleaning products may affect the colour and finish of jewellery. Apply these products first and allow them to dry completely before putting on your jewellery.
Wear With Care
Avoid pulling, bending or dropping your jewellery. Handle clasps, chains, stones and delicate components gently. Jewellery should be the final item you put on and the first item you remove.
Cleaning
After wearing, gently wipe each piece with a clean, soft and dry cloth. Do not use water, chemical cleaners, polishing agents, toothpaste or abrasive materials.
Storage
Store jewellery in its original Shining Stone packaging or in a clean, dry jewellery pouch. Keep individual pieces separate to prevent scratching, tangling and rubbing. Avoid direct sunlight, heat and humid areas.
Important Notice
The appearance and lifespan of fashion jewellery depend on how often it is worn and how it is cared for. Tarnishing, fading, scratching, broken chains, missing stones or other damage caused by moisture, chemicals, incorrect storage, accidental damage or normal wear and tear are not considered manufacturing faults.
Following these care instructions will help keep your Shining Stone jewellery looking beautiful for longer.
Change-of-Mind Purchases
For in-store purchases, no cash or card refunds are provided for change of mind. Exchanges or store credit may be requested within 7 days of purchase, subject to inspection and approval.
For online purchases, returns must be requested within 7 days of delivery. Applicable refunds will be processed in accordance with South African law.
No change-of-mind returns, exchanges or credits will be accepted after 7 days.
Strict Return Conditions
- All returned items are inspected. Items must be:
- Completely unworn and unused.
- In pristine condition with tags and hygiene seals intact.
- Returned in their complete original packaging.
- Accompanied by valid proof of purchase.
- Free from scratches, marks, bending, discolouration, missing stones, perfume, makeup, creams or other signs of wear.
Items that fail inspection will be rejected and returned at the customer’s expense.
Earings and pierced jewellery cannot be returned once opened, tried on or removed from sealed packaging, except where defective.
Custom-made, engraved, resized, altered, sale and clearance items are final sale for change-of-mind purposes.
Courier Costs
Customers are responsible for change-of-mind return courier costs and must use secure, trackable shipping. Shining Stone is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit.
Defective Items
Reported defects are subject to assessment. Normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, scratches, bending, water, perfume, chemicals and improper care are not manufacturing defects.
Genuine defects reported within six months will be handled in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.
